The short version
SoundHop Pro ONi is built local-first. The app has no account system, no analytics, no tracking, and no telemetry. Playback detection, device switching and all preferences stay on your Mac. The only network feature is license verification, described below.
What the app processes on your Mac (and never sends)
Playback format information from your music player, your audio device list and formats, and your app preferences (favorites, profiles, priorities, presets). All of this is processed and stored locally on your Mac and never transmitted anywhere.
License verification (the one online feature)
When you activate a Pro license — and periodically afterwards — the app contacts our license server to verify the license. This request includes your license code and a device identifier used to enforce the per-Mac license limit. It does not include your music, playback history, device names, or any usage data.
If you are offline, verification is deferred: the app keeps working for a 72-hour grace window before requiring a connection.
License records (your license code, purchase email, and activation state) are stored on our license server for as long as your license is active, because they are what makes your license work and lets us resend or transfer it.
Purchases
Payments are processed by our payment provider; we never see or store your card details. We receive your email address and order reference so we can deliver your license, honor refunds, and answer support requests.
This website
This is a static site. It sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising scripts. Our hosting provider may keep standard, short-lived server logs (such as IP addresses) for security and operations.
If you email support, we keep the correspondence so we can help you. We do not add you to any marketing list.
Your rights & contact
You can ask us to show, correct, or delete the data we hold about you (practically: your license record and support emails). Write to support@soundhop.example.
